SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Sophomores Jonathan Chavez and Alexandra Lopez highlighted the efforts for the University of California, Merced men's and women's cross country teams at the Master's University XC Invitational on Saturday morning. As a team, the women finished the 5K ninth overall out of 19 teams, while the men took a tenth place finish in a field of 16 teams in their first 8K of the season.
